Jon Gilkenson and the entire Zia Group team take buying and selling a home to a new level. Their knowledge, expertise and professionalism are above and beyond what we have experienced in our past real estate experiences (and we’ve had quite a few). We selected Daniel and Jon to be our agents after interviewing many top agents in Santa Barbara. We chose them because we knew we needed agents that were really on top of their game to do what we wanted to do: sell our house for top dollar as a pocket listing with all sorts of contingencies (such as allowing us time to find a replacement property and secure a mortgage). They and the entire Zia Group team were able to do that and also help us purchase our replacement property (again with contingencies). They handled both transactions simultaneously–a lot of moving parts to deal with. It was mind-boggling to say the least. Lesser men would have cracked under all the demands and counter demands, changing time frames, and human whims. But Daniel and Jon are champions at this business–truly, they were unfailingly professional, calm, and patient (even when we weren’t). My husband and I recommend them without hesitation. They are simply the best in Santa Barbara.

As a first time homebuyer I had a lot of questions about all aspects of the process and Daniel Zia was my starting point for all of them. Daniel is a great listener and very personable and from our first meeting was very responsive, clear and thorough despite my very stupid questions. My emails and texts were always immediately answered, no matter the time of day. He is very aware of details, and noted many minor things that I would not have noticed during home tours and drafting offers, and yet he does not lose the big picture. I ended up having major troubles with my bank not meeting deadlines and nearly lost the house due to it. Zia Group did not hesitate to talk to the bank and use his and his groups influence to hurry the bank along, without which I would have lost my home and several thousand dollars. Buying a home is a tough process here for anyone. Zia Group did a fantastic job and took a huge load off my shoulders and my mind. I look forward to working with them again and I know they will be a huge asset to anyone in real estate market.
