Jon Gilkeson

Jon Gilkeson is a fourth-generation Santa Barbara native with a deep appreciation for the community he calls home. Having grown up surrounded by the area’s neighborhoods, beaches, and local businesses, he offers clients an authentic perspective and understanding of the Santa Barbara lifestyle.

Jon has been helping clients buy and sell homes since 2012. Over the course of his career, he has personally helped clients achieve more than $175 million in real estate sales. He is known for his steady guidance, clear communication, and thoughtful approach, helping clients feel informed and supported through every step of the process. His goal is to make each experience feel smooth, well-managed, and aligned with his clients’ best interests.
Jon’s business is built on relationships, trust, and long-term connections. Many of his clients come through referrals and repeat business — a reflection of the care and attention he brings to each transaction. He combines a strong understanding of the local market with a modern, organized approach to ensure his clients are well-positioned in today’s competitive environment.

His family’s history in Santa Barbara dates back to the early 1900s, when his great-grandparents founded the original Italian Market. That legacy shaped Jon’s appreciation for the local community and small businesses. In 2020, he founded the Santa Barbara Foodies group to help support local restaurants during covid, and it has since grown into a thriving community of thousands of members.

Outside of real estate, Jon enjoys spending time with his family and taking advantage of the Santa Barbara lifestyle. He can often be found playing beach volleyball at East Beach, hiking local trails, or walking with his family and golden retriever along the coastline.
